Time management is the process of planning and exercising conscious control of time spent on specific activities,especially to increase effectiveness,efficiency and productivity.Without a good time management,we wouldn't get a good quality of activities.Most of the student having problem on how to manage between study and do other activities.For the big question,how to optimize study time efficiently ?

- Prepare well.Many people think that prep work counts as studying,which it does,to a certain extent.Taking notes,making flashcards and catching up lesson plans should be routine things you do before you start studying.
- Take advantage of downtime.A good students know how to take advantage of their study time.Whether it is on the bus,on the way to class or waiting at the hospital,there is always a way to cram in a few minutes of studying.
- Take notes while studying.Even if you're studying a 10000 page book,take as many notes as you can.Yes,it is a longer process but by taking notes,you are transferring the material you learn from your short-term memory to your long-term memory.
- Get enough sleep.The stereotype of staying up all night to cram for that big exam works less often than people think.While they are studying all night,they retain almost nothing.Some of the time,they might end up doing something counterproductive,like checking Instagram or Twitter.
- Eat healthy.Many students think that they can get by on coffee and a bag of chips,but that simply does not do the trick.Artificial sugar,fats and salts are all connected to poorer memory and brain health,along with a bunch of other health issues.A soda or some candy might give you a temporary sugar rush,but then leave you feeling sluggish afterward.

- Make a schedule.You need to do for your day,week,or even the whole month.Once you know what types of tasks you are going to complete today and how many tasks you are going to work on it will become easier for you to prepare yourself for those tasks.
- Prioritize your tasks.You don't have to complete every task in a single day.You can simply prioritize them according to their importance.If you are to do a few things on the weekdays than you need to do it even after your job hours.
- Stop multitasking.Do you really think that multitasking will help you to complete all your tasks together on time? If you think like that then you are highly mistaken.You need to focus on one job until you complete it.If you are going to clean a room then you better do it first then go to the kitchen.
- Say no to certain things.Don't you think that it is time to work on your tasks first and do all the fun? What if you were doing your work and someone asks you to go out? Well,it is time to achieve your goals and you can simply say no to them by telling them that you are busy completing your everyday tasks.
- Never leave your work for tomorrow.If you leave your work for tomorrow then it might become your habit and you might end up doing and achieving nothing.It would be better to complete your work today and never leave it for tomorrow until it is an emergency.

Procrastination is a habit that will ruin your time management.Procrastination means delaying an important task,usually by focusing on less urgent,more enjoyable,and easier activities instead.It is different from laziness,which is the unwillingness to act.Procrastination can restrict your potential and undermine your career.
Ways to reduce procrastination
- Recognize that you're procrastinating.You might be putting off a task because you've had to re-prioritize your workload.If you're briefly delaying an important task for a genuinely good reason,then you aren't necessarily procrastinating.However,if you start to put things off indefinitely,or switch focus because you want to avoid doing something,then you are probably procrastinating.
- Work out why you're procrastinating.You need to understand why you are procrastinating before you can begin to tackle it.For instance,are you avoiding a particular task because you find it boring or unpleasant? If so,take steps to get it out of the way quickly,so that you can focus on the aspects of your job that you find mpre enjoyable.
- Eliminate distraction.Ask yourself what pulls your attention away the most.Whether it's Instagram,Facebook updates,or the local news and turn off those sources of distraction.
